Tackling your emotional issues head-on with a therapist, joining a support group or finding healthy ways of coping can be the first step towards breaking your unhealthy shopping addiction.

Visualizing your financial goal

Saving can be quite difficult if you don’t have a particular goal in mind. One way to get passionate about saving is to create a vision board with pictures of financial goals you’d like to reach in 5 years. Be sure to put the vision board in a place where you’ll see it everyday. You can also take a picture of it and make it your wallpaper so that you’re reminded of why you need to stick to your budget every time you spend money.
